The TESOL (TEFL) course is designed for native and non-native speakers of English wishing to gain a basic qualification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. It also serves as an excellent preliminary course for those interested in the Cambridge CELTA. Based in Bangkok, Thailand, the TESOL (TEFL) course is very practical in nature. Modules cover a wide variety of teaching techniques and strategies with a strong emphasis on teaching in Thailand using the communicative approach to language teaching.
Duration: 2 Weeks
The first week of the TESOL (TEFL) and the mornings of the second week consist of tutor led input. The afternoon sessions of the second week consist of trainee teaching practice and feedback.
Recognition: All successful candidates receive a TESOL certificate that is recognized throughout Thailand and accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education.

The Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults CELTA (formerly the CTEFLA) is widely regarded as one of the most important forms of training in TEFL.
During the course, candidates develop familiarity with the principles of effective teaching and acquire a range of practical skills for teaching English to adult learners. The course includes teaching practice, observation of experienced teachers in the classroom and completion of a range of practically focused written assignments.
The CELTA is an introductory course for candidates designed for those who have little or no previous English teaching experience. It may also be suitable for candidates with some experience but little previous training.
Duration: 4 Weeks
This is a very intensive full-time programme over 4 weeks. Class size is kept to a maximum of 6 trainees per tutor. Each course is assessed by a representative of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate.
Recoginition: CELTA is accepted throughout the world by organisations which employ English Language teachers. The Cambridge CELTA has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) at level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework. Cambridge ESOL also works with international ELT organisations to ensure the acceptance of CELTA globally.
