Travel to Teach El Salvador Personnel
Joaquin Batres
Joaquin Batres a lawyer and native of Santa Tecla is our El Salvador coordinator. He has been working with volunteers in El Salvador since 2003 and has experience working in educational, tourist and social programs with orphanages and schools. He was previously a coordinator of human right projects at the Salvadoreña Alberto Masferrer University.
Katya Funes
Katya Funes is a student and of San Salvador. She has been working in social and community programs around El Salvador since 2002 as part of the Prosam and Alamar organization.

Kerstin
Kerstin was a Swedish consultant who left behind a long career in Swedish local and regional agencies to set up and
manage Travel-to-Teach. She operates from a house in the center of Nongkhai, Thailand.
Kerstin's essays, written in Swedish, are syndicated to magazines on Scandinavian airlines destined for BKK.

Renee
Renee initially came to Thailand to volunteer at the start of this year before becoming our new International Program
Manager. She now organizes all international placements and combination stays for our volunteers and helps with any
problems the volunteers may have.

David
David is a Computer Science graduate from the UK and former Phon Phisai volunteer runs the Travel to Teach website. He also
built the database and office systems we use for our application procedure and the day to day running of our programs.
Although now working in Costa Rica David still manages our website.

Out of Country Staff
Charlotte
Charlotte, a Media and Communications major from England, joined T2T in 2005 and worked as our business development
manager in Nongkhai. She has now returned to England where she will continue to help with marketing Travel to Teach.

Darcy
Darcy Tucker is our USA Representative. She has extensive experience traveling throughout South East Asia as well as
Europe, South America, Central America and the USA. She has lived/worked/studied/traveled in over 25 countries. Based in
New York City, she currently works as a project manager for the non-profit group New Leaders for New Schools. Darcy
comes from a family of many educators, has worked in for-profit and non-profit contexts and has taught English overseas.
In her free time she enjoys planning her next holiday, scuba diving, reading, cooking and dancing to 80's music.
